Researchers at the University of California, San Francisco designed a computer simulation that turns brain signals into speech.The main motive behind the project was to help restore speech for people who had neurological damage or paralysis.

what this device does is that it generates the same electrical impulses that are used during normal speech and propagates it to the vocal system resulting in natural sounding computer generated speech.The same technique has been used to generate limb movement for people with paralysis.

The device performs so well that music can also be generated using specific brain signals.
